Bearta Moillithe Tráchta / Traffic Calming Measures

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Kerry County Council proposes to introduce a Raised Zebra Pedestrian Crossing at Woodlawn Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

The proposed works are as follows:

  • Raised 2.4m wide Zebra Crossing
  • Minor extension to the existing footpaths
  • Bollards to prevent parking along footpath
  • Minor amendment to junction radii
  • All ancillary works

Drawings showing the location of the proposed works may be inspected at the following locations during normal office hours, for a period of one month, from Wednesday, 25th March 2026

  • Killarney Municipal District Office, Kerry County Council, Town Hall, Killarney
  • Roads Maintenance & Operational Services, Room 115, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee

It will also be advertised on the Kerry County Council website – www.kerrycoco.ie

Observations or representations in relation to the proposal may be made, in writing and marked Section 38 – Raised Zebra Pedestrian Crossing at Woodlawn Road, Killarney to the Administrative Officer, Roads Maintenance & Operational Services, Room 115, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry
