Public Notice in Compliance with the Road Traffic Act 1994 (Section 38) as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46)

Traffic Calming Measures

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Kerry County Council proposes to introduce Traffic Calming Measures on the N86 at Scoil Bhreac Chluain in Annascaul.

The proposal includes the following:

  • Provision of a Raised Table and 2no. warning strips.
  • Localised reduction in carriageway width and footpath alterations.
  • Provision of lining, signing and road markings and all associated ancillary works.

Drawing(s) showing the location of the proposed works may be inspected at the following locations during normal office hours, for a period of one month, from Wednesday, 16th April 2025.

  • Comhairle Contae Chiarraí, Oifig Ceantair an Daingin, Baile an Mhuilinn, Daingean uí Chúis.
  • Kerry County Council, Roads, Transportation and Marine Department, Room 115, Áras an Chontae, Rathass, Tralee.
  • Kerry County Council, Kerry National Roads Office, The Island Centre, Castleisland.

It will also be advertised on Kerry County Council’s website www.kerrycoco.ie

Observations or representations in relation to the proposal may be made, in writing, and marked Section 38 Traffic Calming Measures – N86, Scoil Bhreac Chluain, Annascaul, to the Administrative Officer, Roads, Transportation and Marine Department, Kerry County Council, Áras an Chontae, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry or by e-mail to roads@kerrycoco.ie and must be received by 4.00 p.m. on Monday, 19th May 2025.
