Kerry County Council invites applications for the Regional Festival & Participative Events Funding Programme 2025. This initiative aims to support festivals and events that promote tourism in County Kerry, encouraging domestic and international visitors, increasing overnight stays, driving local economic growth, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.
The closing date for online applications is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 17th February 2025.

Applicants are advised:
· The Festivals and Participative Events Programme is a competitive grant process.
· There is no guarantee of funding for applications which achieve the minimum eligibility requirements.
· The fund is limited, and all eligible applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis against the criteria set out in this document.
· The project must have a minimum expenditure of €7,500.
· If the event is being held on public lands or Kerry County Council owned lands a safety plan must be submitted as part of the application.
This Programme is aimed at supporting festivals and participative events which drive international, domestic tourism and help to improve the visitor experience.
They key objectives are:
- To attract domestic and international visitors to Co. Kerry, particularly outside of the main tourism season.
- To stimulate local economies and disperse benefits across the county
- To raise awareness of the region internationally.
