Kerry County Council invites applications for the Regional Festival & Participative Events Funding Programme 2026. The Failte Ireland Festival & Participative Events Programme is a tourism funding scheme which aims to support Festivals and Participative Events that will drive domestic and international tourism and help to improve the tourism experience in Kerry.
The closing date for online applications is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 16th February 2026.

Applicants are advised:

The Festivals and Participative Events Programme is a competitive tourism grant scheme designed to support events that attract domestic and international tourists, showcases the area, and drive the economic contribution of tourism to the local community.

There is no guarantee of funding for applications which achieve the minimum eligibility requirements.

The fund is limited, and all eligible applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis against the criteria set out in this document.

The project must have a minimum expenditure of €7,500.

If the event is being held on public lands or Kerry County Council owned lands a safety plan must be submitted as part of the application.

- To attract domestic and international tourists to Co. Kerry particularly outside of the main tourism season.
- To stimulate local economies and disperse benefits across the county.
- To raise awareness of the region domestically and internationally.
