The closing date for submissions on Proposed Variation No. 2 of the Kerry County Development Plan 2022-2028 was the 11th of July 2025.
A Chief Executive's Report has been prepared on the submissions received.
Your views and suggestions
A total of 88 submissions were received during the prescribed public consultation period.
A list of all the persons/bodies that made submissions or observations on the Proposed Variation during the prescribed consultation period is provided in the report.
Kerry County Council would like to thank everyone who made a submission.
This report summarises the issues raised in submissions and outlines the response of the Chief Executive as well as recommendations for changes to the Proposed Variation where appropriate to address the issues raised.
Outcomes
In accordance with Section 51 of the Local Government Act 2001 a Section 51 Committee was established to consider matters connected with the Chief Executive’s Report on the submissions received in relation to Proposed Variation No. 2 of the Kerry County Development Plan 2022-2028 and to assist and advise the authority on same. This committee met on September 10th 2025.
The Chief Executive's Report, Section 51 Committee Report, and Recommendations on Submissions were presented and considered at a Special Council meeting held on September 15th 2025.
