CDP Wind Energy

I wish to make a submission to the County Development Plan 2022/2028 with regard to wind energy.  I believe that Kerry has more than it’s share of wind energy turbines being one of the highest contributor to the energy grid in Ireland.   We should continue to play our part but I believe the way forward for Kerry is Solar Energy Farms.  I therefore  propose that the areas  of Scartaglen including Townlands  Knockeenahone, Knockrower East, Knockrower West as far as Annablaha in Kilcummin, Gneeveguilla, Cordal and the Townlands of Currow including Knockacorrin, Kilsarcon & Killeeentierna be removed from the Draft Development Plan as Areas of “Open consideration for Wind Farm Devlopment”
