Chapter 12: Energy

That Kerry County Council would only make places open for consideration for Windmills in Areas where the geography is suitable and kept away from having a huge impact on residents where they are built in low lying areas. It is obvious from Draft Plan that places like East Kerry which are included in this Draft Plan, where there is what is deemed suitable substations etc., this should not be a consideration by Kerry County Council. That is up to the Windfarm Developers and we should only be granting permission in suitable places which are away from houses and not in low lying areas of the County.  The places that should be most certainly excluded are Scartaglin, Gneeveguilla, Kilcummin, Headford and Killarney.
